 Job Description:

 Job Title: Community Mobilization Field Officer – SWM

JOB PURPOSE

To implement Community mobilization activities under the  Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) component for SWM program, including component’s related activities in Azraq camp: supporting in hiring , training and rotation of Incentives Based Volunteers (IBVs), monitoring, supervising  and  managing of BCC IBVs in the field, Supporting F.C in planning of activities in the field, monitoring of the daily implementation of the agreed work –plan and supporting logistics needs of the BCC component (PPE’s, inventory ,refreshment etc..), aligning BCC community mobilization activities with entire SWM intervention in the camp, contribution to the preparation of printed and other awareness materials for BCC component. To be responsible for the Community Mobilization of the BCC component in Azraq camp. In agreement with the line manager, the job holder will work alongside with other players in the camp on the day-to-day planning, coordination, and reporting on the component deliverables towards achieving WVJ SWM program objectives. The candidate will also participate in relevant Working Group meetings in the camps when required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

         Behavioural Change Communication Activities on environmentally sustainable SWM practices.

Behavioural Change Communication and information sharing.

Azraq Camp community engagements

Reporting and IBV’s follow

Inventory tracking and Asset maintain

Any other tasks by the line manager

In coordination with field teams, schedule the collection of weekly attendance sheets and cross check with IBVs’ agreements to ensure compliance with WV procedures.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in communities or camp setting in related field.
  • Good communication skills – an ability and willingness to work with people in difficult personal circumstances
  • Willingness to learn fast and work in the refugee camp.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours, on holidays and weekends
  • Working in the humanitarian filed with INGOs.

 

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Education level should be bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in environmental or any related fields,
  • Conversant command of oral and written English
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Dedication to the humanitarian cause
  • Be proactive and anticipate emergencies.
  • Good written and oral Arabic communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with an attention to details.
  • Requires strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • Must be able to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Working under pressure in multiple tasks.
  • Computer literate, Online systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, power point).

 

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Community mobilizer trainings.
  • Communications certificate.
  • Design software is an asset.
