is recruiting for its office in Amman.

Supply Activity Supervisor (Full-time)

 

CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical

assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is seeking to hire an Supply Activity Supervisor for its office in Amman.

 

Amman Hub

MSF has been present in Amman since 2006 with different Missions and OCs, and since 2015 with delocalized HQ offices.

In 2018, MSF signed a Host-Country Agreement (HCA) with the Jordanian authorities and consolidated its presence in the country, becoming one of the MSF Hubs around the world, with the aim of supporting the quality of our operations in the region and beyond.

Today, Amman Hub is a complex setting, including the presence of 5 OCs with Operations and Organizational Support:

 Units: OCA MENA Regional Office, OCBA CAHM (Center for Advanced Humanitarian Medicine), OCG MESO (Middle East Support Office)

 Operational Cells: OCBA Cell 1 (Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria) and OCG Cell 5 (Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria)

-          Missions: Permanent missions including OCP Jordan (Reconstructive Surgery Hospital), and ad hoc temporary hosted missions including OCA Palestine/Gaza/Syria, OCB Syria/Palestine, OCBA Palestine/Gaza/Yemen

-          OCG Lebanon/Iran/Iraq/Sudan/Yemen/Syria. 

-          An intersectional Amman Mutualized Support Office (AMSO)

-          Hosted positions from different OCs and the International Office

-          OCA MENA Regional Office

Objective(s) of the position:

-          Planning and supervising the execution of supply activities in the project for one or more areas of the supply programme (Warehouse, Procurement, Transport and Customs, etc.) according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the mission.

 

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement & Orders Follow‑up

·    Follow up on international, regional, and local orders placed through MSF ESCs, or other partners.

·    Track order status from submission to delivery, including UN2020 processes where applicable.

·    Ensure documentation completeness and compliance with MSF procedures.

Cargo Movement & Cross‑Border Coordination

·    Support coordination of cargo movements into OPT, including via Egypt, Jordan, or other agreed corridors.

·    Follow up on approvals (at different levels), inspections, and partner requirements.

·    Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (WHO, UN agencies, ERC, logistics hubs) and other MSF colleagues based in different hubs including opt.

·    Monitor constraints related to access, inspection delays, and transport capacity, and report to supervisor.

Coordination & Communication

·    As delegated by her/his supervisor, act as a supply focal point between OPT field teams, OCA, intersection teams, and regional platforms as deemed necessary

·    Participate in supply coordination and other meetings as required.

·    Ensure clear and timely communication on supply status, constraints, and changes.

 

Reporting & Documentation

·    Prepare regular supply updates, dashboards, and ad‑hoc reports for management at coordination and OPT teams.

·    Maintain accurate records of cargos, approvals, and movements and including updated pipeline for International, Regional and Local orders

·    The supply supervisor contributes to monthly situation reports and operational briefings.

 

Compliance & Risk Management

·    Ensure respect for MSF quality, and compliance standards.

·    Flag risks related to procurement, customs, regulatory approvals, storage conditions, or diversion.

·    Support mitigation measures for high‑risk supply items or movements.

 

Capacity Support

·    Provide remote technical support and guidance to OPT supply/log teams as needed and update them on supply situation

·    Contribute to harmonization of tools, templates, and reporting formats.

·    Any other tasks may be requested by the supervisor.

 

 

Requirements

 

 

Education

Ø  Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or another relevant field.

Experience

 

Ø  1–2 years of professional experience in supply chain-related roles, preferably within MSF Logistics Department or another humanitarian NGOs in a similar field.

Languages 

                             

Ø  Essential English language. Desirable local language.

Knowledge

Ø  Computer literacy.
