Major Responsibilities:

The Marketing and training Officer will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and providing technical assistance for the Marketing platforms, and training of livelihoods projects’ activities in Jordan; they will be responsible for:

  1. Design and prepare marketing campaigns, material, and promotions
  2. Evaluate competitor products and make pricing recommendations
  3. Identify potential market for new products
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Incorporate lesson learned and feedback from clients for possible improvement
  6. Developing collaborative working relationships and an effective network of both internal and external stakeholders to support and facilitate effective activity management and implementation.
  7. Developing and monitoring content for social media platforms, proactively engaging with stakeholders through customer-focused content and products that meet the project’s objectives
  8. Conduct training sessions for diverse groups, ensuring an interactive and participatory learning environment.
  9. Adapt training approaches to accommodate different learning styles and participant backgrounds.
  10. Provide personalized coaching and mentoring support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
  11. Guide participants in developing their marketing and business plans, identifying market opportunities, and overcoming challenges.
  12. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback and implementing improvements.
  13. Conduct assessments and surveys to measure participant impact and satisfaction.
  14. Ensure training compliance with organizational standards and guidelines.
  15. Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies in entrepreneurship training.
  16. Conduct research on relevant topics to enhance the content and relevance of training programs.
  17. Share knowledge and insights with the team to contribute to the overall learning culture of the department.
  18. Fully comply with IRJ safety and security procedures and provide input to security monitoring and assessments to enable and promote a safe and secure environment for program implementation
  19. Coach and follow up with the stakeholders after completing the project activities
  20. Support the Food Security and Livelihoods team in conducting the assessments and selection of the rightsholders.
  21. Develop the ToRs for the platforms and deal with service providers under the marketing activities. 

 

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE

Technical skills and experience:

  • At least three years of experience in marketing and communication support, social media management, and media advisory services for projects.
  • Experience in managing digital hubs, social media platforms, and online content.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver comprehensive written documents
  • Experience in creating Marketing Material

 

Core humanitarian competencies:

  • Understanding of humanitarian contexts and principles:
  • Good understanding of humanitarian issues, with experience of/or ability to work directly with local NGOs or communities.

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, media.

Languages:

  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic
