Job Summary:

Provide consultations when needed and high quality of care to all patients in accordance policy and procedure. Highly trained in modem aspects of medical practice and utilize in the best advantage of Department function at all times and take the responsibilities of leadership with high clinical & administrative skills. The Consultant Cardiology is responsible for the care of his/her patient in accordance with the ethics of the medical profession and the laws and customs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within his / her experience and training.

Education and Licensure:

  • Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized medical school.
  • High Medical Degree such as (Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board or Canadian, Fellowship, MRCP, MD, etc.) in Internal Medicine or its equivalent internationally recognized qualifications.
  • Subspecialty, Fellowship Certificate in Cardiology or its equivalent internationally recognized high medical qualifications is essential requirement that is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  • A valid professional license to practice the specialty in the country of origin and from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  • Current valid certification of Basic Life Support or obtaining that within 6 months of commencement of employment.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of (3) years of experience in the practice of the specialty after obtaining high medical degree.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Preferably trained and had worked in Academic and Training Centers.
  • Active contributor.
  • Able to work extended hours.
  • Discipline.
  • Teaching; to demonstrate skills required for educational training to medical students, professions.
  • Research; to demonstrate a proven ability and track record of engagement in research relating to the specialty.
  • Ability to cope up with heavy workload, changing priorities and responsibilities.
