Job Description and Requirements
The GIZ Jordan Project "Centres for Migration and Development (ZME)” is seeking to hire an “Vocational Training and Labour Market Advisor” for full-time base employment.
The global programme "Centres for Migration and Development" (ZME) is part of the Group “Flight, Migration, and Return” in the Department “Sector and Global Programmes”. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the centres help to shape safe and regular migration that benefits all sides: Embedded in the structures of the cooperation countries, they advise people on regular work or training migration and at the same time support returnees from Germany and other countries to reintegrate socio-economically in their country of origin. In this way, the centres enable the partner structures to support people in all phases of the migration cycle. 
 
Qualifications and Specialist Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in management, social sciences, economics, or any other related field.
At least 5 years professional experiences; experiences in project management and regular labour mobility is a plus. 
Excellent knowledge about the German labour market and the German vocational training system, practical experiences in the German labour market are desirable.
Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation as well as capacity development and training of partner institutions in fulfilling reporting and data protection requirements. 
Very good advising, training, empathy, communication, cooperation, organisational, and networking skills. 
Excellent commitment, team spirit, reliability, and intercultural understanding.
Very good digital competencies (MS Office: MS Teams, Power Point etc.)
Excellent Arabic and English language skills, good German language skills are a plus. 
 
Main Responsibilities 
Advise the clients of the German-Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility (GJC) (people interested in migration, job seekers, students, returnees, people in vulnerable situations etc.)  on opportunity related employment and vocational training, regional labour migration, and reintegration support for returnees.
Advise on visa related issues, including blue card, employment and studying in Germany and EU, diploma recognition and career orientation. 
Provide advice about portals and platforms, like “Make it in Germany“.
Prepare and implement training measures for individuals interested in labour and qualification migration and refer potential candidates to relevant training opportunities offered by partner institutions and the sister project “Programme Partnership Approaches to Development-oriented Vocational Training and Labour Migration – PAM” including intercultural preparatory measures such as language courses and technical training.
Support Employment Offices in providing labour mobility advisory sessions and support staff in setting up labour mobility expertise and advisory tools in line with the German-Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility advisory approach.
Provide trainings on Labour Mobility for the employment offices staff members. 
Guiding Jordanian partner institutions in setting up Monitoring and Evaluation systems on labour mobility services and on securing data protection requirements. 
Where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description.
