Job Title: Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist (Consultant) FSR # 695
Location: Azraq Camp Hospital 

This position is under Consultancy Agreement

Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Services:

  • Provide medical care to pregnant and postpartum patients by prescribing appropriate treatment and care.
  • Perform necessary and appropriate surgical procedures in the obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Supervise difficult deliveries and perform surgical interventions when necessary. Obstetric complication handeled/supervised difficult deliveries and performed surgical interventions operative / assisted deliveries and Cesarian sections performed , when indicated.
  • Supervise and cover night shifts at maternity department for emergency procedures/operations, resolving technical issues whinin the maternity hospital.
  • Manage and provide advice regarding the transfer of obstetric emergencies to other departments and external hospitals , when necessary. Consultations and medical care provided to pregnant and postpartum patients by prescribing appropriate tratment and care.
  • Visit patients , guide nursing staff on necessary procedures for each patient , and respond to patient inquires about their health conditions.Supervise the admission and discharge of patients under the team's name and instruct resident staff on how to fill out patient discharge forms.
  • Provide recommendations for the needs for medical staff, devices , and medical equipment.Provide a list to the hospital pharmacy of the necessary medicines in the department at the appropriate time.
  • Participate in preparing statistical report in the field of specialization (number of NVDs , operative deliveries , cesarean sections , by age group , complications , etc) and review them.

Qualifications:

  • Gynecology and Obstetrics Board certificate (Jordan or Arabic Council).
  • License to practice (Issued by Ministry of Health)
  • Membership in the Doctors' Syndicate as a specialist Gyne/Obs.
