Job Description and Requirements

 

General Description:

Management of the administrative and operational activities of a private orthopaedic-surgery clinic.

Schedule is variable yet flexible, due to employer’s frequent presence in the operating room and away on trips, and allows for remote appointment management and answering of patient queries.

-   Office work hours (when employer is present):  Sun. to Thu., 10:30 AM to 7 PM (lunch break 2-3 PM)
-   Remote call/message management (when employer is not present):  Sat. to Thu., 9 AM to 9 PM


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answering patients’ messages and calls during working hours every day of the week except Fridays.
  • During office hours, guiding efficient flow of patients between waiting and examination rooms.
  • Handling consultation fees and other office finances.
  • Managing medical records and patients’ test results.
  • Preparing letters and reports.
  • Ordering supplies and stationery, liaising with suppliers.
  • Liaising with hospitals and other medical professionals (physicians, physiotherapists) on patient care.
  • Dealing with clinic support staff (cleaners, maintenance workers, company representatives).
  • Ensuring consistent quality of patient care and looking for new ways to improve it.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related field.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience in office management, administration, or other related field.
  • Flexibility in the face of a variable work schedule and unplanned delays.
  • Friendly and positive attitude and an enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills allowing tactful handling of difficult patients and family members.
  • Perfect command of both Arabic and English in verbal as well as written communication.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Word, Excel, Google Calendar.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Efficient problem solving (with office equipment, scheduling, and interpersonal communication).
  • Trustworthiness with patient confidentiality and office finances.
  • Willingness to learn new things every day.
