Job Summary The Social Media Officer will be based in Amman, Jordan. The officer shall be responsible for the creation and marketing of creative content on social media outlets, including the design of a comprehensive strategy and content calendar to do so . Applicants must be excellent in written and oral communications, most importantly in Arabic, and have a proven experience in managing outreach/awareness campaigns across different digital and social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
● Develop a social media strategy, action plan and content calendar.
● Create engaging content (written and visual) that targets youth on diverse social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter.
Take full responsibility and ownership of social media accounts by updating content on a daily basis, maintaining visual identity, and responding to received messages in a timely manner.
● Plan, edit and produce engaging, well-edited videos for social media in the form of video testimonials, interviews, reels, stories, and live broadcasts.
● Produce creative and eye catchy graphics to boost both organic and paid engagement.
● Manage all paid campaigns including the development of copy and creative, A/B testing, monitoring of active ads, and evaluation and reporting of results.
● Track and measure social media metrics as required to evaluate and improve social media content and management. ● Increase and maintain an active and engaged follower base on social media.
● Identify collaboration opportunities and connect with other content creators and social media influencers to widen outreach.
● Perform any other duties as assigned or required to improve outreach and engagement rates.
Qualifications:
● University degree in media, marketing, public relations or communications.
● At least 2 years’ experience in managing social media pages.
● Excellent writing skills, especially in Arabic. English is a plus.
● Experience working with Canva or other graphic design tools
● Experience in producing timely, creative and engaging reels and stories on diverse platforms using a smartphone. Experience in using professional cameras is a plus.
● Being active on social media, or at least, enjoying social media and interacting with other content creators and influencers.
● Being proactive in identifying content opportunities, innovative in searching and finding new tools, creative in visualizing complex information, and experienced enough to turn analytics into actionable recommendations.
