Job Title: Senior Human Resources Officer FSR 480

Location: Amman

Job Summary

The Senior HR Officer is responsible for HR operational management of key HR functions including HR departmental development, Talent Acquisition, Staff Relations, benefits, compensation, organizational development, Performance Management support etc.

The Senior HR Officer will also maintain legal compliance of the organization and to foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment for International Medical Corp’s human resources.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

The Senior HR Officer will manage number of HR staff and work closely with the team to build their capacities by developing their interpersonal skills and professional expertise.

Manage the recruitment cycle for IMC Jordan mission

  1. Facilitate the recruitment process and advice the hiring manager on each recruitment stage and prepare regular recruitment tracking reports.
  2. Ensure that recruitment process is fair and transparent and in line with IMC HR policies and procedure

ON BOARDING AND OFF BOARDING

  1. Ensure proper orientation for all new staff; collaborate and coordinate with other departments to provide an engaging and welcoming orientation.
  2. Assist HR Manager to review current Onboarding program, coordinate orientation activities, addressing any issue and feeding back to line manager
  3. Coordinate off boarding (separation paperwork, payments, entitlement, exit interviews etc.)

PAYROLL, COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

  1. Maintains compensation databases, ensures employment records are properly maintained in the HR systems, and administer HR data in Cost point , TE, and local systems
  2. Coordinate staff Health Insurance and other benefit.

STAFF ENGAGMENT, LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

  1. Support Staff learning and development activities. This include HR mandatory training programs, and other team building activities.
  2. Supports programs managers to identify training needs or performance gaps of staff.

EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS

  1. Support discipline and grievance procedures and conduct several awareness sessions for IMC staff
  2. Lead several investigations related to code of conduct violations, including conducting interviews with the complainant and review supporting evidences, communicating findings to HR Manager and the committee for further actions

Other HR Management

  1. Participate in reviewing national staff policies and recommend changes/additions/deletions to the HR Manager.
  2. Provide support to program and operations staff in interpretation of HR policies and procedures and provide technical support on HR issues.
  3. Work with HR manager on implementation of strategic planning of the department.
  4. Conduct regular field travel to project offices ensure proper implementation of human resources procedures and assist/ support managers in their needs.
  5. Assist in updating organograms, maintaining contact lists, and information flow lines on regular basis.
  6. To plan and undertake relevant special project work as directed by line manager.
  7. Support the audit and compliance process and provide the documentation after reviewed by HR Management.
  8. In collaboration with mangers, liaise with Social Security department and Income tax payment schedules.
  9. Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, business or any related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in related field.
  3. HR certification will be a plus 
  4. INGO experience is preferable
  5. Previous experience with International Medical Corps is a plus.
  6. Knowledge of local labor laws.
  7. Experience with human resource information system would be an added advantage.
  8. Knowledge of principles and procedures for staff recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, job design, labor relations and negotiation, and Human Resources Information Systems.
  9. Knowledge and understanding of local employment standards.
  10. Strong MS office and the ability to use technology to collaborate.
  11. Good conflict management skills.
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  13. Excellent planning and organizing skills.
  14. Ability to work effectively and collaborate with others
  15. Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster trust and respect.
  16. Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented.
  17. Flexible, comfortable with deadlines and able to work well under pressure.
  18. Ability to perform multi-tasking.
