BACKGROUND

Founded in 2008 in Amman-Jordan, Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) is a Civil Society Organization seeking to reinitiate a new Nahda (Arab Renaissance) project to contribute in addressing the challenges faced by the Arab World, building on the achievements and ideas of the Arab Nahda and aiming to open the doors for future participation in formulating concrete actions to achieve the desired change and development. ARDD supports marginalized individuals and communities—including refugees and migrants— in acquiring and enjoying their social, political and economic rights, through legal aid, psychosocial support, media and grassroots mobilization, and research and advocacy to raise stakeholders’ awareness locally, regionally and internationally about the challenges that vulnerable persons face in Jordan and the Arab Region.

The Promoting the Voice and Leadership of Women (PVLW)-Tawazon is a USAID funded project , implemented by a consortium led by Mercy Corps. PVLW is a 5 years project that aims to create transformative change to enhance the voice and influence of women by strengthening legislative frameworks, enforcement of those legislations and the enhancement of institutional capacity of stakeholders, increasing the adoption of inclusive social norms, and removing barriers to women’s participation and leadership.

ARDD’s role as the lead partner on Objective 3 is to design and manage “The Arab Women Leadership Academy (AWLA)” to enhance women skills and opportunities for voice and leadership all over Jordan.

Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) is looking for a Project Coordinator support and contribute in executing the training cohorts of the Arab Women Leadership Academy (AWLA).

The project coordinator is expected to carry out the following:

  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of training cohorts under the Leadership Academy including venue booking, Trainers’ arrangements, and training supplies and resources allocation, as per the project plan.
  • Communicate training schedules and requirements to participants and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all training materials, tools and resources are available and up to date.
  • Contribute in reaching out potential participants through the academy channels and to contribute in the selection process as well.
  • Coordinate with ARDD relevant departments to manage the implementation of training cohorts, such as; procurement department to book venues and travels, finance department to issue required payments and contribute to prepare needed financial reports, HR department to follow up on relevant contracts, and other departments as required.
  • Organizing and quality assurance of the training sessions’ delivery. This includes to support the trainers as needed, distribution of training documents (Pre and Post, Agenda, training evaluation and others), ensuring the attendance of participants, venue setups, training time management and ensure that the performance of the trainer complies with the quality standards of the training sessions and that they cover the training materials a according to the course agenda.
  • Preparing the training programmatic and financial reports and submit them to the project manager (on monthly, quarterly and annually bases). Furthermore, and as part of the programmatic report, the coordinator is responsible to highlight success stories among participants, challenges and testimonials.
  • Support the project manager in planning for the training cohorts.
  • Manage participant enrolment and registration for training programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and participant feedback.
  • Address participant inquiries and provide necessary information and support.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, priorities and constraints and assist with the administrative duties pertinent to project implementation.
  • Ensure all relevant activities of the training program are completed with quality and within the timeframe of the project plan.  

Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability and Learning

  • Ensure that the M&E systems are effectively implemented in each project site, and its tools are in place. This includes the systematic implementation and follow-up on agreed technical quality benchmarks, in liaison with ARDD’s M&E staff.
  • Actively monitor project activities at field level to ensure quality and compliance with best practice, and report/flag any concerns to Project Manager.
  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve training content and delivery.
  • Ensure that training programs align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Perform other responsibilities as agreed with the Project Manager.

Candidates interested in applying should:

·Have a university first degree in Business Administration or Social Sciences, or other related disciplines.

·At least 4 years’ experience with NGOs, INGOs, or funded projects; having experience in USAID projects is plus.

·At least 2 years’ experience in training coordination.

·Excellent English/Arabic language skills (Writing and conversation).

·Willing to visit the location and field visits (within all governorates) on regular basis.

. Willing to occasional stay overnight (within all governates), as needed, to fulfil job responsibilities.
