About Us
RedR Australia is a leading international humanitarian response agency that selects and deploys technical specialists throughout the disaster cycle around the world. We are a member of the UN Standby Partnership (UNSBP) and have deployment agreements with 15 United Nations agencies or entities, as well as with other front line relief agencies and local governments.
During a humanitarian crisis, we provide additional support to response efforts through deployments of technical specialists. We maintain a humanitarian roster of more than 1000 technical experts across a range of skill areas including, but not limited to: information management, MEAL, coordination, protection, AAP, PSEAH, disability inclusion, peacekeeping and stabilization, disaster risk management and risk reduction, gender and communications.
We value our role as leaders in the sector to actively increase gender, disability and local inclusion within the sector through practical support, professional development and exposure to career opportunities.
About the job
RedR Australia is a prominent global player in the international humanitarian sector. Every year, from a roster of humanitarian experts, we deploy experienced professionals to respond to conflict and crises to 30+ countries through our partnerships with UN agencies, governments, multilateral organisations and INGOs. We also provide world class humanitarian training for hundreds of participants around the globe.
The Programme Officer will report directly to the Programme Manager in the country office and play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation, coordination, and capacity building efforts within the program in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development.
