Job Description and Requirements
The GIZ Regional Project "Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Politics and Economy – WoMENA ” is seeking to hire a  “Junior Gender Equality Advisor” for full-time base employment.

The regional project "Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Politics and Economy – WoMENA" enters its second phase with the aim of advancing women's political and economic participation across the MENA region. Building on the successes of the initial phase, this phase seeks to further increase women's representation in decision-making roles within political and economic spheres while enhancing their opportunities in the labor market and professional life.

In collaboration with national and regional networks, the project will implement targeted measures to bolster women's engagement in economic and political domains. The overarching goal remains to empower women, safeguard their fundamental human rights, and ensure their meaningful contribution to shaping policies that foster gender equality and inclusion in the region. Key strategies include introducing Gender Diversity Management in organizations, advancing women's representation in leadership roles, and fostering networking opportunities to empower political stakeholders. This phase will also prioritize providing advisory services and capacity development support to economic and political change agents. These efforts aim to enable the design and implementation of innovative approaches to enhance women's participation, with a particular focus on those disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, WoMENA will expand its awareness-raising campaigns to reach diverse age groups, encouraging active female participation in political and economic spheres. In line with the project's inclusive approach, this phase will continue promoting the involvement of men as allies in advocating for gender equality and women's rights.
