Background
Save the Children Jordan (SCJ) was established in 1974, as an independent, child-centric, local NGO registered under the Ministry of Social Development. SC Jordan is responsible for delivering high impact development and humanitarian programs for the world’s most marginalized children and their families in the areas of education, protection, health and nutrition with an overarching goal of improving Livelihoods for families.
Objective
Save the Children Jordan (SCJ) is seeking to hire services of an individual consultant to develop a comprehensive and actionable Fundraising and Partnership Strategy, including identifying diversified potential funding sources and opportunities. Based on the needs assessment study and analysis, the consultant shall:
- Map and evaluate donor engagement history and opportunities, focusing on expanding funding through private sector channels, CSR initiatives, and individual donors.
- Lead the creation of an ambitious, actionable phased approach strategy for fundraising and partnerships, ensuring alignment with Save the Children’s global mission and country-level goals.
- Design tailored engagement strategies and mechanisms to cultivate and grow partnerships with the private sector, philanthropic foundations, and high net worth individuals.
- Strengthen Save the Children’s visibility and brand equity to position it as a partner of choice for child-focused impact.
- Provide recommendations on internal capacity and resources needed for effective fundraising, including best practices for ongoing communication and engagement.
Deliverables
The assignment is expected to be completed within 4 months. The consultant will be responsible for delivering the following outputs:
- Inception report
- Donor mapping report
- A comprehensive partnerships and fundraising strategy document, including a donors engagement plan and recommended approaches and timelines.
- A final presentation of key findings and recommendations to SCJ’s leadership team.
- Any other deliverables upon agreement with the consultant
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in fundraising and partnership development
- Proven experience in fundraising strategy development and donor engagement.
- Strong understanding of the funding landscape in the nonprofit sector.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience working with similar organizations in partnerships and resource mobilization.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with different program managers and team members.
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills are a must.

Reporting & Coordination
