Vacancy Information
The position is for a Field Coordinator, reporting to Murad Alsalahat (Project Coordinator) within the Operations Department. This is a new role classified under Grade 13 as a Fixed-Term, Full-Time position. The contract type is Local 1, with a duration of less than one year, requiring 40 hours per week. The role is non-relief, grant-funded, and non-family, with eligibility for the L-IM scale to be confirmed by the business partner. Workers’ Compensation and EEOC codes are pending selection.

Job Purpose
The Field Coordinator will manage and support field operations, including cash, livelihood, logistics, and procurement for the project. Responsibilities include planning office supplies, warehouse management at implementation sites, and shaping day-to-day operations. The role involves close collaboration with the donor on planning, coordination, and reporting to achieve World Vision International (WVI) objectives. The candidate will participate in donor meetings and ensure deliverables reach identified beneficiaries.

Major Responsibilities

  • 30% Operational Management: Ensure timely hiring of Cash-for-Work staff, oversee procurement processes, manage beneficiary databases, and supervise project operations and staff training. Maintain records of project resources and ensure compliance with specifications.

  • 30% Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate operational needs, liaise with stakeholders, conduct community awareness sessions, and document success stories. Strengthen partnerships and enhance WVI’s visibility in host communities.

  • 10% Financial Accountability: Facilitate timely worker payments, track attendance sheets, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

  • 10% Staff Development: Submit timesheets, conduct performance reviews, and contribute to capacity-building initiatives for field staff.

  • 5% Representation: Attend meetings with stakeholders (e.g., JVA) on behalf of WVI as requested.

  • 5% Communications Coordination: Collaborate with the communications team to publish manuals, guidelines, and impact stories.

  • 5% Reporting: Contribute to monthly progress updates for the project manager.

  • 5% Additional Tasks: Support the line manager with ad hoc duties.

Knowledge/Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar technical role, preferably with INGOs or governmental agencies (e.g., Ministry of Labor). Expertise in cash/livelihood programs, CFW projects, and humanitarian field management is essential.

  • Education: University degree in business administration, social sciences, or related fields. Knowledge of child protection/rights is required.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Arabic (native) and English (intermediate), computer literacy (MS Office), strong communication, and teamwork abilities.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with Lotus Notes, commitment to WVI’s core values, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability.

Work Environment

  • Travel: 90% fieldwork, 10% office-based.

  • Physical Requirements: General office/field stamina.

Key Working Relationships

  • Internal: Weekly reporting to the Project Manager; daily coordination with the Senior Engineer and Cash-Logistics Officer; as-needed collaboration with engineers.

  • External: Engagement with stakeholders, donors, and community members.

Decision-Making Authority

  • Independent Decisions: Routine operational decisions within established policies.

  • Higher Approval Required: Decisions impacting external stakeholders, donor relations, or deviations from guidelines.
