Job Purpose

Responsible for engaging visitors with exhibits, programs, and workshops. The role involves guiding all visitors, answering questions, and delivering educational and recreational offerings to ensure visits are enjoyable, safe, and enriching.

Duties and Responsibilities

Functional Duties

• Facilitate and guide visitor learning through assisted discovery by staffing exhibits and leading sessions, demonstrations, and programs inside and outside the Museum.

• Support and assist visitors with disabilities to ensure inclusive and enjoyable experiences.

• Replenish and maintain program kits; report shortages in materials.

• Greet visitors (schools, families, and groups), provide orientations, and share overviews of the Museum.

• Ensure exhibit items are in good working condition by coordinating with the Maintenance Department; report and follow up on malfunctions.

• Deliver activities and workshops as part of projects and regular programming.

• Supervise and guide assigned volunteers.

• Report participation numbers and feedback to the direct manager.

• Maintain the Tinker Lab space as assigned.

• Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications

•  

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences, Museum Studies, Heritage Management, Languages, or any other relevant field in the sciences or humanities.

• Experience:
  0–2 years of relevant experience in education, public engagement, or a similar setting.

• Languages:

  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).

  • Native Arabic speaker with outstanding writing skills and the ability to perform confidently on stage or in front of an audience.
