Job Title: X-ray Technician FSR # 691 

Location: Zaatari Camp 

BACKGROUND

We are seeking a highly qualified candidates to join our X-ray team in the Emergency Department at the International Medical Corps Al Zaatari Camp. The successful candidate wull be responsible for performing X-ray imaging tests to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions. Key responsibilities include preparing patients by explaining procedures and ensuring proper positioning. operating and maintaining X-ray equipment, processing images to ensure high quality, and updating patient records. This role is crucial in the healthcare system,providing essential diagnostic images that assist doctors in developing effective treatment plans.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To perform a variety of X-ray duties. 
  • Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies. Provide X-ray services according to national/MOH and WHO standards.
  • Undertake professional duties under direction of the line manager
  • Support the clinical management of the patients in Hospital and clinics in the camp when required and as per as requested by attending physicians.
  • Take, register and, process native X-rays, e.g. chest, bones, etc.
  • Keep regular stock of X-ray consumables, e.g. films and necessary chemicals as per as agreed upon.
  • Plan and set-up the X-ray facilities according to health standards as required by the supervisor/line manager and rules and regulation This includes:
  1.  Maintenance of X-ray stock and accurate record keeping of X-ray activities;
  2. Maintenance of proper storage conditions X-ray material and equipment;
  3.  Maintain appropriate disposal of X-ray chemicals in cooperation with other actors related
  4. Maintenance of X-ray equipment
  5. Ensure that disposal of all X-ray waste chemicals is done appropriately/in line with MOH and other requirements and documented as per requested.
  6. Follow clinic standards for the X-ray service
  7. To inform immediately clinical staff and line manager of any critical delay or breakdonw in essential X-ray services
  8. Provide regular and timely reports; to be agreed upon with the line manager
  9. Train clinical and other clinic staff in his/her capacity and attend in-service training as per agreed upon with the line manager
  10. Work according to the Ministry of Health / WHO and ERU hospital guidelines, including quality assurance
  11. Share and develop technical skills with the colleagues as part of a mutual capacity building objective
  12.  Ensure good standards of hygenic according to IPC policies and SOPs in the wards at all times. 
  13. Ensure the maintenance of adequate stocks of material for routine ward consumption
  14. Ensure prompt reporting and submission of internal request repairs of non-functional equipment (medical and non-medical) to the appropriate departments for repair. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leader. Additional tasks when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging or radiation Technologies.
  • License to practice in Jordan.
  • One years of experience in the same field.
  • NGO experience is preferable.
  • Good skills in English (writing , reading ...)
