JOB TITLE: IT Field Assistant

TEAM/PROGRAMME: IT Department

LOCATION: Jordan, North and Camp FOs

 

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3 - the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

 

ROLE PURPOSE:

The IT field Assistant will be responsible for help end users to complete their daily work. And make sure that our computer systems are up and running

 

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: IT systems Officer

Country Dimensions: Save the Children works in all 12 Governorates in Jordan with a current staff complement of approximately 400 staff and current expenditure of approximately $60 million each year

Staff directly reporting to this post: None

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Support the delivery of effective Programmes, in both development and humanitarian contexts, by:

  • Installing and configuring new computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Provide required maintenance for ICT items including and not limited to laptops, printers, finger print terminals, scanner, data projector and network peripherals.
  • Provide IT help desk services for save the children’s field staff on a timely manner.
  • Maintain and provide office365 user’s accounts.
  • Provide IT system’s training for end users.
  • Conduct regular visits to the Azraq and Zaatari camps to provide support to field teams as needed.
  • Provide a weekly technical support report to his/her supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Education: CS/CIS
  • Demonstrated experience in the same field
  • English language it should be very good
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
