This is to announce that Amman delegation has a vacancy for an ICT Field Products Manager at the Regional Support ICT Department in Amman, Jordan.
The ICT Field Products Manager oversees and manages the implementation of ICT products in the field, aligning with ICRC's global mission. S/He operationalizes the products in the different field contexts and provides relevant feedback to the HQ product teams. The Field Product Impact Manager is driving the adoption of the digital products. This role is pivotal in driving technological adequation and operational efficiency across field operations.

GENERAL DUTIES

RELATIONSHIPS
- Internally, interacts with ICT Coordinators and T&I employees, as well as Delegation Management in the field. In the HQ, interacts with Product teams (Product Owners, Release Train Engineers) Also interacts with the Global Support teams at L2 and L3.
- Externally, interacts with local suppliers and IT departments in other organizations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guides the strategy and implementation of ICT products for field operations, ensuring they meet the needs and are fit for purpose with the organization’s goals.
- Makes sure field requirements and ICT product development work well together, matching the strategic direction from headquarters and the expectations from a user side, by facilitating discussions and continuous collaboration with users.
- Proactively identifies and bridges gaps in T&I Products and competencies, leveraging new technologies and training to enhance field operational capabilities, while communicating field-driven insights to support product iteration and refinement.
- Coordinates with field ICT teams to devise and apply solutions targeting field operation challenges. This includes regular communication and partnership with field ICT staff to ensure the deployment and support of ICT products are effectively managed and meet operational needs, while acting as a liaison to advocate for user-centric improvements.
- Establishes a robust partnership with T&I headquarters, product line teams, and experts, ensuring that the design and implementation of ICT solutions are deeply aligned with field operation challenges, promoting feedback mechanisms to identify gaps and enhance products based on real-world experiences.
- Improves the ICT skills of field staff by identifying skill gaps globally per product category. Through targeted training and support programs, ensures that field personnel have at least the minimum knowledge required to support the ICT Field product categories and encourages continuous growth through knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
- Actively ensures that the design and development within T&I product lines and services are directly driven by the specific needs and challenges of field operations, championing practical, user-centered solutions by representing field voices and advocating for the alignment of priorities with operational realities.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in fields related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or specialized areas that support the ICT product categories.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in ICT, including at least 3 years in roles directly managing or supporting specific IT product(s) such as Telecommunications, End User Computing, IT Infrastructure, or future technology categories.
- A strong foundation in professional qualifications related to network management, cybersecurity, software development, Agile practices and cloud computing technologies are plus. Certifications should reflect expertise in managing a diverse range of IT products and services, emphasizing on demonstrating a continuous learning mindset.
- Ongoing education and training in specific areas of technology that are relevant to the product categories, such as telecommunications, infrastructure management, user support systems, and emerging technologies.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that accommodate a wide range of operational environments, particularly in challenging or remote locations.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and initiatives that span across multiple IT disciplines, with demonstrated success in delivering impactful solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience in crisis management and rapid deployment of IT infrastructure in response to emergent needs, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
