SUMMARY
The NATO Liaison Office (NLO) Jordan in Amman represents NATO in Jordan, with the aim of enhancing political dialogue and practical cooperation in areas of common interest between the Alliance and Jordan, building on their longstanding partnership bilaterally and in the framework of the Mediterranean Dialogue (MD). The NLO enables regular engagement between NATO and the Jordanian authorities and contributes to the development and implementation of partnership programmes and activities.
The Driver provides reliable and safe driving and delivery services for the NLO, NATO staff, and visitors in Jordan, ensuring the highest standards of reliability, integrity and safety. As a member of the Administrative Support Section, the incumbent performs secondary tasks related to the smooth running of the NLO. The incumbent should be flexible to work outside of normal working hours.

The Driver reports to the Head of the NATO Liaison Office, through the Coordinator (Finance & Administration) in Jordan. The incumbent works closely with the NLO Staff and interacts with the official visitors by maintaining a professional, courteous, and responsible client-oriented manner.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
The monthly basic salary for this post is 1087,71 JOD (subject to local taxation). The monthly basic salary will be reviewed every two years and is not exempt from taxation. Additional allowances or adjustments may be applied.
NATO may offer a one-year contract to the successful candidate, which may be renewed for subsequent periods.This possibility is based on the needs of NATO and on the performance of the incumbent.
The nature of this position may require the staff member to travel for work and/or to work outside normal office hours. It may also require periods of teleworking from home for administrative related tasks.
The NATO Liaison Office in Jordan is a non-smoking environment.
