Unit: Media and Communication Unit

Job Title: Communication and Multimedia Officer

Job Objective: The Multimedia and Communications Officer will support the Media and Communication unit in campaigns, events, programs and daily operations with photography, assisting with the design production and graphics, producing/ editing videos and reels for social media purposes. In addition to assisting the team in communication & logistics requests.

Duties and Responsibilities

Graphic design:

  • Creating visual communication material using Adobe Illustrator and other professional design software to support advocacy campaigns, awareness campaigns, events, workshops and programs, etc.
  • Assist in conceptualizing visuals and ideas based on requirements, and act as the focal point with the third service providers
  • Develop logos and different graphics for social media, website, prints and newsletters for internal and external use.
  • Develop required forms, infographics, presentations, calendar events’ visuals and more to support the operations in the Media and Communication Unit and other units.
  • Develop and maintain an up to date classified archive of the produced designs.

Photography

  • Assist in photography of some site operations, events, workshops, sessions, etc.
  • Supervise and oversee the photography services by the contracted media agency during events. Workshops, sessions and make sure of producing high quality photos.
  • Assisting the Social media officer in taking required stories and photos
  • Develop and maintain an up to date classified archive of the photos

Videography:

  • Plan, shoot, edit and produce attractive informative reels and videos for social media use
  • Assist taking video shots as needed
  • Be the focal point for the contracted media agency to guide the video production of events, workshops, live videos, as well as following up on the editing process as per JNCW guidelines in a timely manner to publish the videos on the schedule.
  • Prepare Script sheets and storyboards for videos created by service providers as required, while making sure the delivered results are aligned with JNCW guidelines and/or the events goals and details.
  • Performs any other related duties

Logistics & technical support

  • Support the PR department within the Communication & Media unit in tasks related to logistics for events, workshops and site operations
  • Support the Comm. & Media unit and other units in technical requests, such as creating google forms, google drive files, formatting documents, Microsoft project, filling and maintaining internal website calendar, or any other related matter.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital communication, social media or any related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in a related field or post.
