Job Purpose
To plan, schedule, manage, and coordinate all the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work to ensure the continuous work. Develops both short term and long-term maintenance plans in coordinator with line managers and other internal stakeholders. Achieves the highest level of safety, cost efficiency and dispatch reliability of assigned Equipment’s and other contracted entities by effective planning.
Key Result Responsibilities
1. Develops long-term/short-term maintenance plans for assigned Equipment’s maintenance based on the Approved Maintenance Program and any other documents issued by engineering services.
2. Execute maintenance activities forecasting in a timely and cost-effective manner.
3. Create effective work packages, issuance of preloads, gantt charts and any other support required for execution of checks.
4. Create any scheduled and unscheduled line & base maintenance /workshops/third party work packages and coordinate with all responsible stake holders in line with the procedures.
5. Coordinate with necessary Stakeholders to develop maintenance capacity plan.
6. Manage scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities taking into consideration the agreed parameters (calendar, hours, cycles), cost and business needs, overlaps, unforeseen circumstances as well as emergencies.
7. Develop monthly/quarterly/half yearly and yearly man hour forecast vs man hours utilized reports.
8. Provide feedback to Bahna engineering services to enhance, improve or increase efficiency of any maintenance related documents.
9. Coordinate with Procurement team to ensure all tools, spare parts and components prior to scheduling or planning any maintenance activity on assigned Equipment’s or third-party entity.
10. Report-back maintenance events carried out within an approved time frame given in the company procedures.

11. Provide complete check analysis post completion of major checks (including “A” check).
12. Monitor tasks completion versus Engineers checks requests in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
13. Provide necessary assistance in the aircraft’s lease/sublease process through technical evaluation of aircrafts.
14. Coordinate with respective parties in Engineering, Finance and Legal to ensure smooth processing as per agreed terms and conditions and approved regulations.
15. Prepare, coordinate and schedule all short-term maintenance requirements working closely with line maintenance and Bahna departments.
16. Coordinate, create, plan and verify third party maintenance work packages.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Project Management certificate or alternately the proven corresponding working experience.
• Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance certificates and trainings are an added value and some may be treated as conditional for this role.
• Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft suite and ERP systems.
• Excellent command over both written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc.
• Very good in English Language.
Work Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a planning engineer
- Experienced in working with a team of professionals (Engineers and Technicians) in a frequently changing environment with heavy work-load schedules .
- Very good time management skills.
- Understanding of related Quality Assurance/Safety/Audit functional practices
- High accuracy and attention to both results and details.
- Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs.
