Job Description and Requirements

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Banking Operations

  • Process loans and other credit facilities
  • Audit payroll postings received from customers
  • Authorize financial and non-financial transactions/entries 
  • Authorize transactions on the relevant remittances systems
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of various reports
  • Coordinate balance confirmation letters
  • Monitor and process post dated cheques  
  • Perform any tasks assigned by the Operations Manager

Treasury & Trade Finance Operations

  • Review LC/LG/DC applications to ensure all the required information and approvals are met
  • Review amendments and cancellations of LGs
  • Follow-up on advising customers of the incoming guarantees and documentary credits
  • Process SWIFT transactions
  • Review and process equity/bonds transactions
  • Process customers time deposits/renewals  

Other

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for relevant systems
  • Handle internal and external reporting
  • Process KYC transactions

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking or any related field
  • Minimum 7 years banking experience of which at least 5 in branch operations and trade finance

Additional Key Competencies:

  • Familiarity with banking business, products and services.
  • Good knowledge in areas related to treasury operations.
