Role and responsibilities

The purpose of the Support Coordinator is to coordinate the support functions at Amman Hub office and to support with the day to day operations. 

Responsibilities

Generic responsibilities 

  1. Line management for support staff, HR & Admin, Logistics and ICT
  2. Responsible for ensuring quality support to the Amman Hub staff and operations.
  3. Oversee the Amman Hub Budget

Specific responsibilities 

  • Ensure that the Hub office’ work processes are in place, understood by all staff, and carefully followed.
  • Planning and coordinating NRC administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes
  • Ensure that all administrative functions of the Hub are well managed, including but not limited to event management, office cleaning & reception, fleet and transport needs, general office management and maintenance, guest and international staff accommodation.
  • Laise with the CO and RO on visa and work permit requirements for international staff based in Amman. 
  • Coordinate with Gaza and CO HRM on all visitors and staff movements, ensuring all logistical needs are prepared in advance. 
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving for all admin and support documentation
  • Ensure that Logistics function is well managed in close coordination with Gaza Log Manager on matters related to the Jordan Corridor and RO log unit for procurements under the regional FWAs.
  • Ensure all payments for the Hub is issued and paid on timely manner. 
  • Ensure ICT and communication packages are ready and available upon staff arrival. 

Qualifications

Generic professional competencies: 

•             Experience from working as a Support Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context

•             Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

•             Fluency in English, both written and verbal 

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience: 

•     Knowledge of the context in Palestine

•     Knowledge of the context in Amman

•     Experience with start-up, and hybrid work modality 

•     Previous experience with NRC in Amman or in the middle east is an asset

This position is Grade (07) Step (01). Salary & Benefits are based on Jordan Amman Duty Station.

Reports to: Head of Support.

Contract Duration: 12 months renewable, based on the need of position, fund and performance.
