                                                                            Security Supervisor

The International Community School (ICS) is one of the most established and successful non-proprietary international schools in the Middle East. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, experienced, and proactive Security Supervisor to join our team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued safety and wellbeing of our diverse and dynamic school community.

 The ideal candidate will: 

  • Hold a degree in management or a related field
  • Have 3–5 years of relevant experience in security management, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role. 
  • Possess professional certifications (preferred)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong command of spoken and written English
  • Be confident in using Google Workspace and other ICT tools relevant to the role.
  • Be adaptable and capable of working eectively with individuals from multicultural backgrounds.
  • Display a proactive, dynamic, and solution-focused approach to security.
  • Hold Jordanian nationality.
  • Be flexible and be willing to work in shifts specifically between 2 & 11 pm.

Role Summary:

ICS is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for our students, sta, parents, and visitors. This role requires a committed and experienced member of security to supervise and lead security operations during assigned shifts. 

Role Responsibilities: 

Security Management ?

Keep an up to date records of the following: 

  • Visitors record
  • Late and early leave students
  • Contractors entering the school
  • Fire extinguishers monthly check
  • CCTV daily check
  • Lockdown rooms weekly check
  • Night shift daily report.

 

Implementation and Compliance 

  • Supervise the locked and unlocked building doors as required, to ensure that all windows are closed when performing patrols of the school.
  • Monitor and review CCTV system operations, reporting any irregular activities and camera malfunctions to the HSS Manager.
  • Ensure all security guards adhere to the school security policy.
  • Ensure all security guards wear the school security uniform, maintaining a good and clean appearance.
  • Follow instructions issued by the direct manager and do not leave the school during working hours without approval.

 

Building Security 

  • Conduct regular patrols of the campus, surrounding areas, bus park, and other unsupervised areas to ensure the safety and well-being of students and sta, as well as the security of the facility.

 

Staff and Uniform Management 

  • Wear the appropriate school security uniform throughout the day and night shifts

 

Adherence to Instructions ?

  • Adhere to instructions issued by the direct line manager
  • Do not leave the school during working hours without the approval of the direct line manager.

 

Ethical and Professional Behaviour 

  • Display ethical and professional behaviour when working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the school

 

Traffic and Visitor Management 

  • Ensure a smooth trac flow of students through the hallways.
  • Assist students with timely arrival to class and to assigned locations.
  • Assist visitors with directions and secure proper identification
  • Intercept unauthorised visitors and escort them to exits

 

Reporting and Communication 

  • Report any discipline infractions, unauthorised visitors, and acts of vandalism to the Director of Campus Operations. 
  • Notify the Director of Campus Operations, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), police, and/or appropriate emergency personnel of any emergency, potentially dangerous, or unusual situations.
