The GIZ Jordan Partnership Approaches for Development-oriented Vocational Training and Labour Migration (PAM) and German - Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility (ZME) projects in Jordan” is seeking to hire a “Project Assistant – Labour Mobility” based in Jordan- for full-time base employment.
The global programme "Centres for Migration and Development" (ZME) is part of the Group “Flight, Migration, and Return” in the Department “Sector and Global Programmes”. On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the centres help shape safe and regular migration that benefits all sides: Embedded in the structures of the cooperation countries, they advise people on regular work or training migration and at the same time support returnees from Germany and other countries to reintegrate socio-economically in their country of origin. In this way, the centres enable the partner structures to support people in all phases of the migration cycle. The German - Jordanian Centre for Labour Moblitiy (GJC) represents the respective program component in Jordan.
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the global programme “Partnerships for development-oriented vocational training and labour migration” (PAM) develops and implements partnership approaches for safe, orderly, and regular vocational training and labour migration between Germany and selected cooperation countries with a pro-development focus. The project also prepares candidates linguistically, technically, and transculturally for vocational training or labour migration to Germany. Furthermore, the project is developing transnational networks between the partner countries and Germany to share experiences and learn together. In Jordan, the project focuses especially on vocational training in the German skilled crafts sector.

The position requires flexibility to perform tasks outside the defined scope when appropriate.
Emanating from GIZ’s role in enhancing and promoting the efficiency and competency of its political partners and entities and their respective employees, and in view of GIZ’s aim at maintaining and encouraging the stability of employment at its political partners and entities, this position will not be available to any official employee currently working at any of GIZ’s political partners, governmental ministry, department or entity, including any official employees who are on unpaid leave.
