About the Role

The Children’s Museum is seeking a motivated and creative Digital Communication Officer to join our Communications Team. This role is key in shaping and delivering the Museum’s digital presence across multiple platforms, helping us engage with our community and share our mission of learning through play.

As a Digital Communication Officer, you will be responsible for developing content strategies, producing high-quality visuals and videos, and managing day-to-day activities across social media channels. You will play a critical role in highlighting our programs, events, and impact, ensuring that our messaging is consistent, compelling, and aligned with the Museum’s values.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement creative, audience-focused social media strategies.
  • Manage daily content across all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X), tailoring messaging to each platform.
  • Plan, capture, and edit compelling video and photo content that reflects the Museum’s programs, events, and brand identity.
  • Run and monitor paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms to support visibility and engagement goals.
  • Attend and cover Museum activities and events to create timely, on-the-ground content.
  • Produce multimedia materials including images, reels, stories, and captions for campaigns and daily communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital trends, tools, and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Work closely with the Communications and Programs teams to support Museum initiatives and outreach goals.
  • Maintain an organized archive of social media content and media coverage for reporting and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in a communications, content creation, or social media role.
  • A great photographer with a keen eye for detail, composition, and capturing compelling visual content.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Fillmore, or similar tools.
  • Good knowledge of camera operations, including framing, lighting, audio setup, and use of DSLR or digital video cameras.
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for visual storytelling and detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content management tools.
  • Basic skills in using website management tools like WordPress to update and manage content.
  • Basic skills in using Canva or other design tools to create visually engaging content for social media.
  • A collaborative, flexible, and proactive attitude.
