COORDINATION WINDOW EXPERT
Job Title: Coordination Window Expert
Program: Jordan Water Governance Activity (WGA)
Reporting to: National Conveyor Project Management Unit (NCPMU) Director
Location: Amman – Jordan.
BACKGROUND
The Water Governance Activity (WGA) program is a multi-year project funded by USG, which aims to support the GOJ in achieving measurable improvements and greater sustainability of the water sector by providing technical assistance to strengthen strategic planning, financial sustainability, policy development, data-driven decision-making, and capacity-building efforts to enhance utility performance. In addition, to increase accountable, sustainable water sector management and governance by supporting and strengthening the National Conveyor Project's Project Management Unit, strategic planning, financial management, policy development and implementation, and capacity-building efforts.
JOB SUMMARY
The Coordination Window Expert will play a pivotal role within the NCPMU, serving as the central interface between the project and various government entities responsible for permitting, authorizations, approvals, and regulatory compliance. Supporting the Government of Jordan and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the expert will design and implement effective coordination mechanisms to streamline inter-governmental collaboration and accelerate the resolution of permitting and authorization challenges across all project components.
This role entails establishing standardized workflows, tracking systems, and communication protocols to ensure timely issuance of permits, mitigation of institutional conflicts, and full adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. The Coordination Window Expert will also monitor the Project Company’s obligations related to government interactions and provide regular updates and risk assessments to the NCPMU Director. With a deep understanding of Jordanian regulations and strong public sector engagement skills, the expert will ensure the project's smooth interface with national and local authorities, safeguarding its schedule, compliance, and stakeholder trust.
