OVERALL PURPOSE |
The CBI officer is within the Jordan program and acts as a focal point for beneficiary families, helping them to foster self-reliance and build resilience. The CBI officer will work to enable individuals to prioritize their own needs and those of their families through cross-sectoral case management and facilitate the provision of cash-based interventions to the most vulnerable refugee and Jordanian households in Jordan, through direct implementation and partnerships.
The role includes field visits to conduct vulnerability assessments, creation of tailored case plans, regular follow ups, mapping of and linking families to service providers through timely and quality referrals.
The CBI officer will be also assisting CBI senior officers in tracking progress of directly and partner implemented activities, contributing to reporting against targets, and engage with sector working groups and partners. |

PROJECT OVERVIEW |
This work targets the most vulnerable Syrian and non-Syrian asylum seekers and refugees, and vulnerable Jordanians residing in Amman, Jordan. It comprises a multi-year project that focuses on targeted number of beneficiaries and addresses their barriers to accessing basic needs through comprehensive multi-sectoral case management. The case management approach is used to select families, assess their needs, and generate case plans to ensure their basic needs are met through cash assistance and referrals to other key services, including health care, MHPSS, and improved access to livelihood opportunities. |

Major Duties and Responsibilities |
||
1. Conduct vulnerability assessments, build quality case plans, and follow-up with persons of concern to ensure linkage and provision of services in target areas. 2. Contribute to building a network with relevant service providers and facilitate maintaining/updating the referral pathway. 3. Facilitate the distribution of cash assistance, including ensuring beneficiary orientation on the use of IRIS, ATM, or U-wallet withdrawal methods. 4. Maintain a transparent, honest and supportive communication environment with beneficiaries and within the team. 5. Maintain an up to date knowledge of policies and best practices in different relevant and necessary sectors (including Education, MHPSS, Protection, Basic needs, Shelter, Disability, health, legal, etc.) and 6. Contribute to providing up to date training material and participate in the delivery of technical capacity building for local CBOs, and provide support to Medair staff and community partners on cash-based interventions and best practices. 7. Represent Medair externally with partner NGOs, CBOs, other stakeholders, and relevant Working groups. 8. Data management and reporting a. Ensure timely, quality, and accurate data inputs on the Information Management System Database. b. Report on up-to-date status of beneficiary payments received and trouble-shoot issues. c. Adhere to data security and privacy procedures. d. Report on challenges and shifts of external service availability, and respond to client crises effectively, providing immediate support and referral to appropriate services |

Ability to facilitate project activity implementation in a timely and efficient manner. Knowledge of humanitarian principles, Sphere and other international humanitarian guidelines and protocols. |
