Job Title:  Pediatrician FSR # 740
Location: Azraq Camp Hospital 

This position is under Consultancy Agreement

Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Services:

  • Provide clinical care and treatment to pediatric emergencies through ER.
  • Perform neonatal assessment  and resuscitation in the maternity department of obstructive labor, operative deliveries, and Cesarean sections.
  • Assess the clinical condition and examine all children referred to from PHC clinics, nutrition clinics (SAM cases) and prescribe appropriate treatment plan.
  • Perform night shifts and provide pediatric emergency services in the ER and maternity department (BEmONC, CEmONC neonatal resuscitation) as well as resolving technical issues within the pediatric context in Azraq hospital.
  • Contribute  in preparing statistics and medical reports in the field of pediatric specialization (e.g., neonatal mortality, pediatric mortality).
  • Ensure availability and functionality of medical equipment /devices and pediatric essential medications in pediatric ward, OPD ,and ER ,and report any malfunctions.
  • Participate in patient inquiries and counseling.
  • Educate, and guide nursing  staff on optimal and modern methods of medical care for newborn and children.
  • perform daily clinical rounds and visit patients in the pediatric ward.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pediatrics Board Certificate (Jordan or Arabic Council)
  • License to practice as a Pediatrician (Issued by Ministry of Health)
  • Membership in the Doctor's Syndicate as a specialist doctor in Pediatrics.

 

Deliverables:

  • Clinical rounds to admitted patients provided.
  • Admitted children followed up and managed according to guidelines .
  • Pediatric care and treatment provided according to standard pediatric guidelines
  • Mother/families of admitted children counseled on prognosis, care, and treatment.
  • Pediatric emergencies attended and managed.
  • Contributions made to medical reports.
  • Verified and authentic medical data reported.
