Capacity building of ACC’s credit officers: Short Term Technical Assistant (STTA) – Training on Smart Irrigation and Financial Feasibility for ACC Credit Officers:
The Water Efficiency and Conservation Activity (WEC), project in Jordan, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Smart Irrigation Systems Trainer. This position is short term post based in Amman.
WEC and Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) are aiming to increase the adoption of water saving technologies (WST) within the agricultural sector. In order to achieve this goal, it is needed to enhance the financial services that are offered to farmers to enhance their cash flow for such technologies
Position Description/Summary:
The objective of this consultancy services is to build the capacity of ACC’s credit officers, and other relevant staff, in the following areas
A. Provide a clear understanding of the cost benefit of using these irrigation systems taking into account farm size and crop requirement.
B. Provide feasibility and return of investment calculations for loan applications for these systems.
C. Raise the general awareness on the principles and benefits of on farm irrigation systems for 48 credit officers from the ACC’s network of 24 branches and 12 senior staff managing the branch network based in ACC’s head office to be trained on the above topics:

The total expected level of effort (LOE) for this assignment is 33 Days within 5 months.
